Calloway
I could listen to this guy for a long time. He's always at Jackson's Mill, and that's Dave Bing in the background, one of the finest West Virginia fiddler's around.

Little Brown Jugband
This tune sounds vaguely familiar... but I don't know what it is. They sure can play well though.

Old Mother Flanagan
This guy's stuff is always enjoyable. He generally plays too fast to really follow along if you don't know the tune already. But this one is actually ok to follow.

Little Billy Wilson
This is a very clear recording and great version of this tune. It makes it much easier to follow if you're trying to play along. Nothing like the twin fiddles.

Big Scioty
I like these guys... they seem really nice. They have a few videos on there, but this is one of the better tunes.

The Garry Owen
It would be awesome to remix these two tunes... they have some sweet beats. The first of course is Yankee Doodle and the second is an old cavalry tune called Garry Owen, which was originally an Irish drinking tune from what I understand.

The Bachands
These kids are too good, and they both spell their names with a Q. Check out more about them here.

Wind that Shakes the Barley
This tune starts out really slow so you can get hang of it and then gets close to normal speed by the end. Good tune to learn.

Genticorum
Playing while keeping time with your feet seems tough... This guy does pretty well at it. They seem to have a small following in the New Old Time community.

Texas Gals
http://www.fieldrecorder.com/assets/mp3_08/603_TexasGals.mp3This tune, Texas Gals, is played by a band called Chicken Chokers. Now, I'm a little uneasy with that band name, but... they're interesting, and one dj at WDVX in Knoxville plays this band every Sunday during the string band hour.

Mercury Dimes
http://www.themercurydimes.com/assets/mp3/garfieldsblackberry.mp3Yet another, nother band from the West Coast, San Francisco at that... Not my favorite of the newer old-time bands, but they a-ight. This tune has a thousand names, and this is not one of them I've heard before.

I like these guys, they have a lot videos on youtube. I wish they were my friends, but not in a desperate kind of way.
