These kids are too good, and they both spell their names with a Q. Check out more about them here.

Wind that Shakes the Barley
This tune starts out really slow so you can get hang of it and then gets close to normal speed by the end. Good tune to learn.

Playing while keeping time with your feet seems tough... This guy does pretty well at it. They seem to have a small following in the New Old Time community.

Texas Gals
http://www.fieldrecorder.com/assets/mp3_08/603_TexasGals.mp3
This tune, Texas Gals, is played by a band called Chicken Chokers. Now, I'm a little uneasy with that band name, but... they're interesting, and one dj at WDVX in Knoxville plays this band every Sunday during the string band hour.

Yet another, nother band from the West Coast, San Francisco at that... Not my favorite of the newer old-time bands, but they a-ight. This tune has a thousand names, and this is not one of them I've heard before.

The Jubilee
Ok, this is more for the Samples family than anyone else, but check it out. This guy goes around interviews people at Jackson's Mill 2008, features the Mac Samples family band, and creates a 7 minute video about them.
His profile is "it's real man," as in pot-smoking hippy, what does it all mean, we're all connected, man. That's the typical kind of fan the Samples Brothers have and would really enjoy hanging out with anyway, so it all makes sense.

Frosty Morning

For whatever reason, this tune makes me want to drink guiness in a wooden pub on foggy, cool morning during the revolution. That's a pretty specific beer.

Gourd Banjos
http://www.jeffreymenzies.com/audio/stolzer_deutscher.mp3
Just found this site today, plenty of links to tunes played on the gourd banjo. This one is called "Old Liza Poor Gal." Liza must have gotten around a lot during the old timey days, seeing as how she has about 136 tunes in her honor.

This is only a little clip of the tune, but this is good version of St. Anne's Reel. I especially like the dog barking at one point.

Despite characterizing himself as "elegantly innovative clawhammer banjo," which is kind of uppity to me, this guy is one of the best banjo players I've heard.

Old-Time Sally Will You Marry Me?
Love this tune. This is, of course, from the jube in West Virginia. Of all the old-time I come across, the stuff played in West Virginia tends to be the best.

This is one of the better old-time bands that is not rapidly approaching the cold, cold grips of death. Plus, this track is live, always good.
